    This didn't work on my Thinkpad X31 but if you want to give it a try these are the steps to follow:

    1. Go to the System Menu, then Administration and click on the Disk Utility application.

    Did you happen to notice which kernel you had when it was working for you?

    It didn't work for me on kernel 2.6.32-21 nor on update 2.6.32-22.

    Unfortunately the updates haven't changed anything for me. Still having this problem with the Thinkpad X31.

    I'm also having this problem and the work-around described above did not work for me.

    When I place the system into Suspend, it goes through the suspend process and powers off the LCD display but...
