You mean in Firefox it says the server is not found?
Could you open up a terminal (Applications > Accessories > Terminal) and type:
ifconfig -a
then copy and past the results in a reply?
Try to be a little more specific about your problem when you post. Could you tell us exactly what happens when you attempt to connect to the network?
How about a little more information, like when does it freeze? Does it do it consistently or is it only occasionally? What do you usually have to do to get it unfrozen (reboot, restart gdm, etc.)?...
I also notice that beam.smp is listening on that port. Check out this post, it might apply to you:

Is your wireless working correctly now?
Could you post the output of:

dpkg -l | grep fglrx
Also is this an upgrade or a clean install?
What exactly happened when you tried using the proprietary driver?
Do you have update-manager or synaptic running? If so close out of them and try it again.
Could you post your xorg.conf file as well as the output from 'glxinfo'?
Do you know, by chance, the exact model of video card you have?
I think you can safely assume that you aren't looking for a solution in the firewall area. Since it works fine internally but not externally, I would check out some DDWRT settings (although I'm not...
If the screen is messed up while the machine is POST'ing then it is neither a problem with the OS nor with the hard drive. If at all possible, could you post a picture of the screen at various...
What are your system specs? And could you go into a little more detail about what you've already tried?
It should be the B43 driver, so it worked after you updated to Lucid then? I was going to suggest that, but I didn't know if you hadn't upgraded on purpose or not.

I needed 'lspci -vnn' not 'lsmod' but first check my post above about the restricted driver.
