i know my phone bill says i downloaded so many gigabytes a month
but how many of those gigabytes are actually playing with the ssd on my Htpc
what type of interaction is going on between the streamer`s and the streamee`s
just looking for a rough MTBF ("Mean Time Between Failures" ) for my 120 gig ssd
im running ubuntu 17.10
Is there a way to view harddrive activities why streaming a movie from netflix and would it give a good look into the future for my ssd
ive had This mini Htpc for 2 years now it is great,, it almost runs 18 hours aday
its a i7 soldiered on the board and 8 gigs mem 120 gig ssd

Hello!

Streaming should have very little, if any, interaction with your storage devices unless you are downloading -- and for many of those services you should not be downloading or recording.

Don't worry about your storage devices.

if your streaming it's not coming from the drive. your ssd should be good for 10+ years.
