    Start: Applet not initialized.

    Hi,

    I am having some problems getting java to work in firefox I have installed the icedtea plugin as well as sun-java-jre. I've even gone as far as downloading the Java SDK and putting the location to it in my /etc/environment PATH variable, but whenever I try to use a webpage that uses java I get;

    Code:
    Start: applet not initialized.
    cheers,

    I also tried installing openjdk but that did not work.

    edit: IcedTea shows up as a plugin under about : plugins and java is enabled under preferences

    Brett.
