10.04 bring window to front

I've just upgraded to 10.04 and the behavior of the window manager seems to have changed. When I open a link in Thunderbird, it used to open firefox and pop it up on top. Now, it just stays minimized in the task bar and slowly blinks. Anyone know how can I get the old behavior back? I cannot find a setting that controls this nor another topic that asks this.

I've been trying to figure this out too with Kubuntu 10.04, but haven't succeeded so far.

If you go to Edit->Preferences->Attachments
you can specify which browser to use for html and http.
EDIT: Oh sorry, now I understand what your problem is...
