Is it me or is Google Chrome slow in Ubuntu

Hi,

I have this same problemen and after digging a little bit on the internet I apply this solution and it worked great

sudo aptitude -remove gnash gnash-common mozilla-plugin-gnash

after I did that chrome and firefox started to work like a charm

I seem to have a similar problem with chrome.. Loading and switching tabs in chrome is very slow on ubuntu, but fast on linux (same hardware). firefox however doesn't have this problem but, I prefer chrome to firefox.
edit: the tabs only seem to load slowly when a page is being re-rendered.
