Problem on another forum in this domain.

Email says: "new members will be unable to edit their profile until they have 10 posts in support forums"
Message on the forum said: "You will gain new abilities as we get to know you."

But since posting is not an ability I've earned, how can they "get to know me"?

And not being able to edit my profile is irritating when I made a typo in my name.

(Also, I was not allowed to put in my Chinese name, but that's only a minor inconvenience.)

Username changes are not editable in your profile settings.

You need to apply for it to be changed by a forum admin.

You can apply for it to be changed at anytime, there is no minimum posting requirements to do so. (as far as I know)
As long as you adhere to the directions/instructions in the links I provided.
