And they are clearly proud about it. What else could you expect?

Here is reply as a representative of the company I work at, and as the person in charge of component selection. I would suggest more responses the same. Response below was entered as an information request...
Please respond. I have read the article listed here:

If the accusations in this thread are true (I will be checking into it this weekend) It is bad marketing for your company to make false claims of compliance, or to handle complaints in such an unprofessional manner. The alleged conduct of the technician in the thread alone is grossly unprofessional. False compliance claims are immoral, unprofessional, and may even be illegal in this country. If this is indeed the contents of your conversation and/or your products are incorrectly labeled as compliant, , I will be removing all foxconn products from our listed product line. I will be looking into this accusation, and I expect a quick response from you if I am to continue to market and sell your products..

What I love about Linux: everything is just one command away. Just use && liberally.
Check out for my "blog".
We need this on YouTube. If we can get a popular video on YouTube about this issue then it will get more visibility.
I posted a link of this thread to The Linux Link Net, the forum for the The Linux Link Tech Show.

I am going to change the title of this thread to be more accurate.
Foxconn representatives have stated that it is a bug.
The title should reflect that it is a possible bug.
There has been no proof of deliberate action that part is an allegation
This account is not active.
It's a confirmed bug, I'm not sure why did you call it "possible". One might also note that it negatively, not positively affects Linux.
"A bug in Foxconn boards BIOS negatively affects Linux ACPI"
I still say it's a SET of very HORRIBLE, yet awfully CONVENIENT "bugs", and a big company like Microsoft may have baked a few million pies filled with $100 bills for these "bugs".
What do you want as proof?
Code:If (MCTH (_OS, "l1nux")) { Then (8Uy v1574, 5creW joOr5elF) }
